Casual Compass

Editorial Policy

How Casual Compass handles relationship guidance, commercial claims, sourcing and corrections.

Principles

We write for adults and prioritize mutual consent, clear communication, privacy, sexual-health awareness and respect for changed minds. We do not present tactics for overriding another person’s boundaries as healthy dating advice.

Fact versus inference

Behavior such as texting more often can suggest changing interest, but it cannot prove another person’s internal state. Our guides are written to preserve that distinction and to recommend direct communication when the answer materially affects a reader’s choices.

Commercial content

When we discuss a product, we identify merchant-supplied prices, features and claims as such. We do not fabricate firsthand experience, customer outcomes, conversion rates or product contents that we cannot verify.

Health and high-stakes topics

Relationship guidance can overlap with sexual health and mental health. Casual Compass provides general educational information, not diagnosis or individualized professional advice. For testing, contraception, infection risk, coercion, abuse or mental-health concerns, use qualified professional resources.

Corrections

Material factual errors should be corrected in the page itself and the updated date changed when appropriate.
